Pictures from Baltimore

March 11-14, the family spent some time in Baltimore. Wendy had a work conference and Geoff & Nora came along (Mookie visited his friends at the North Worthington Pet Clinic, the best kennel in Ohio). Here are some great pictures from our visit to the National Aquarium and other sites around the city.

And this last one is of the crib the provided by the hotel. YIKES! Looks like a jail. Needless to say, Eleanor Kate slept in the gi-normous sleep number bed with Mommy and Daddy. It was a fun time away from home, and EKG turned 8 months old on our last day there! Look at this smile...it could sell snow to an Eskimo, am I right?

First Basketball Game

As we mentioned we took Eleanor to her first OSU Basketball game yesterday. After watching Mom and Dad shovel out the car and part of grandpas driveway, she was so tired she fell asleep in the car on the way there. We managed to get her out of the car without waking her and she slept on my shoulder on the way into the Schott.

She continued to sleep once we were inside. Here she is in her Grove sweatshirt sent from Grandma. She missed her first chance for a Brutus Dog.

She kept snoring on my shoulder for 15+ minutes in our seats despite the band playing and the buzzer right behind us going off. She woke up just in time to say goodbye to the seniors (Butler, Twigs, and Othello). She even sang a bit during the National Anthem. Here she is with Wendy as the Bucks warm up for the game.
She was a little rattled by the noise of the fans at first (19,000 fans booing a bad call can be alarming), but she soon settled in. As the bucks surged to a win, keeping their NCAA tourney hopes alive, she seemed to enjoy the energy or maybe it was just the joyful cheers from Dad. Here she is after the game laughing and enjoying her first win in person.

Snow!

Well, the three of us have survived the "blizzard of 08". We knew it was coming so we stocked up on supplies (aka beer) and didn't leave the house for 40-some hours.

Columbus got around 20 inches (20.4 at CMH) of snow between Friday afternoon and Saturday. Wendy had never seen snow like this (obviously neither had Nora) and I can't ever remember that much snow in 24 hours.

We kept busy doing laundry, cleaning around the house, avoiding doing our taxes and spending some up close time with Eleanor.

This morning we dug out and went to the OSU-MSU basketball game (pictures from Nora's first b-ball game coming soon) and the roads weren't too bad. It was great to see the Bucks take down Sparty (suck it Brandon). The sun was out all day and that has helped clear some of snow.

Things should be cleared up enough by Tuesday that we shouldn't have any trouble on our flight to Baltimore. Did you know we are going to Baltimore? Wendy has to attend/present at a conference, so Nora and I thought we'd tag along. We are hoping to not run into any blizzards, hurricanes, or tsunamis on our trip.

A Few Pictures

Here are some sweet pictures we have taken recently. Here is Nora with our friend Mark at Taryn's birthday party.

This is our girl enjoying her first taste of Frosty. mmmmmm . . .Wendys

Mookie loves to be a part of everything including feeding time.

This is Eleanor after a long night of not sleeping. Wendy and I were up and getting ready to go and she wanted to sleep in.
